How to check balance by text

If you have any issues with our online balance check service please text ‘My Balance’ followed by your 16 digit card number to 57887 to receive an SMS stating your balance, or call 01 9068547 for our automated balance enquiry service.

Why do I need to know my balance?

One4all gift cards run on a Visa debit platform, retailers therefore cannot see the balance on your card at their tills.

If a retailer attempts to process more than the balance on the card their till will receive a declined transaction message due to “insufficient funds”  similar to a credit card transaction    

Retailers need to know that they are not attempting to deduct more money than is on the card,  if you do not know the exact balance you may elect to tell the retailer to deduct a sum off the card that you know is below the current balance.

As of 10th January, new EU regulations affect the sale and use of One4all Gift Cards.

Why it affects One4all Gift Cards

For maximum security of funds and spending flexibility, the One4all Gift Card operates as an E-Money product on the Visa platform. This means that, unlike gift card products that are not governed by regulations, funds on your One4all Gift Card are held securely and segregated, and can be spent in thousands of different stores.

The 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (5AMLD)

The 5th Anti-Money Laundering Directive, which took effect on 10th January 2020, restricts the sale and use of anonymous prepaid cards (including the One4all Gift Card) in two key ways:

  • Classic ‘swipe to spend’ One4all Gift Cards sold after 10th January 2020 are limited to a maximum balance of €150 per card; and
  • Online transactions with a One4all Gift Card are limited to €50 per transaction after 10th January 2020

Introducing the Chip & PIN One4all Gift Card for Businesses

Corporate clients wishing to reward their staff with a gift card worth more than €150 will soon be able to do so with the new Chip & PIN One4all Gift Card. This new product will offer increased security and a maximum value of €500. There will be no restrictions when spending this card, in-store or online, following a brief ID verification process.
